Lane County is excited to be gearing up for starting OWA, after a summer break. We’re looking forward to scholarship applications from our local FFA chapters, a fall social, and being involved with ag all around our county. Our members served at the state fair booth, which was fun and easy to do. I also had the privilege of designing and putting together the table scape for the Farmer Feeds display, using plants such as wheat and thistles gleaned from our fields and artificial flowers that are grown here in Oregon. It is impactful to see 168 plates set up, signifying how many people one farmer feeds in a day. Our chapter continues to look forward to serving our local and state communities through OWA and many other avenues.
