We were at our last first Thursday event in Madras where we had a booth. Thank you to Carole and Bill for setting up and taking down this month.  Augusts’ hot and sunny weather brought a great turn out of people to share our OWA story along with Agriculture information.  We handed out several coloring contest papers and our water bottle stickers are a huge hit with all.

Carole attended the OWA State Fair Booth and had an amazing time spreading the word about where your food comes from.  She enjoyed all the activities and the new power point presentation. The question was asked if OWA could have the Tea Towels for sale for the public to purchase?  Central Oregon Chapter will look into how to make this happen.  But, the best part is the Ice cream for working a shift. Yum

Central Oregon’s chapter was back in session from a summer break and held a meeting on Aug. 9th at Carole’s house.  We are working with members to put together ideas for our Smith Rock Pumpkin Patch booth/room.  This event draws thousands of families from all over Oregon.

Carole is working with Heather from the Central Oregon Chapter to put together information for other chapters and booth chairs to see what has been created and is available to order for their chapter booth, or State event.  My thought is this will be located on the Members only part of the OWA website.
