The event brought together women from across the country who are united by their dedication to agriculture and their commitment to shaping meaningful ag policy.

The purpose of the Mid-Year Meeting is to review and discuss current agricultural issues and policies and creating AAW’s Position Statements in preparation for the annual Fly-In to Washington, D.C., where members will meet with lawmakers to advocate for policies that directly impact farming and rural communities.

Attendees also had the opportunity to hear from guest speakers such as Karen Glueck of Ag Professionals, who shared insights on “How to Put AI to Work for Agriculture Advocacy,” and Kara Bishop from Plains Cotton Growers in Texas, who spoke about regional issues affecting cotton producers.

All three women reflected on the importance of networking and advocating for the unique aspects of Oregon agriculture.

As the Fly-In to Washington, D.C. approaches, please remember that Oregon Women for Agriculture has travel funds available to support member participation in American Agri-Women activities. The travel request form can be found on members only site (login required).

The conference included an evening at iconic Billy Bob’s in Fort Worth.
