The OWA Photo Contest once again showcases the beauty and diversity of Oregon agriculture.

First place and $50 goes to Emma Lee Demianew of Pendleton for her photo, “Wheat at Sunset.” Emma shares, “I grew up on a wheat farm that has been in my family for over 150 years. Agriculture runs deep in my veins, as my family homesteaded their farm near Pilot Rock in 1865.”

Second place and $40 goes to Sarrah McMaster of Dallas (Polk Chapter Member) for her photo, “Grapes at Wetzel Estates.” Sarrah explains, “I have been a member of Wetzel Estates and loved their wine for years. I had the pleasure of knowing Helmut Wetzel before his passing and enjoyed his stories from Germany and his life and starting the winery.”

Third place and $30 goes to Lisa Goracke of Shedd (Linn-Benton Chapter Member) for her photo, “Wheat Harvest.” Lisa says, “This photo was taken on our family farm during wheat harvest in 2024. It captures the first pass in our first wheat field of the year after setting the combine. Peterson Butte can be seen in the background near Shedd in the Willamette Valley.”

Thank you to everyone who entered this year’s contest and shared their unique perspectives of Oregon agriculture. We look forward to seeing more incredible photos in the year ahead.

Photos can be submitted at any time to Kristi Miller, entries due November 1, 2026.
