After taking July and August off, the Linn-Benton Chapter gathered on September 10 at the home of Debbie Prouty. Those in attendance enjoyed a delicious garden-grown meal!

Over the summer, Herdsmanship Awards were presented to 4-H and FFA chapters at the Benton and Linn County Fairs, including the trial launch of a new rotating banner award at Linn County. We look forward to seeing how this new tradition develops.

Chapter members also tackled a storage unit clean-out, with several signs and displays set to be donated to Oregon FFA for their 100th anniversary celebration in 2028.

Reports were shared on the Oregon State Fair booth, Oregon Agriculture in the Classroom, and an overview of the June State Board meeting. We are also preparing for chapter officer transitions in February with openings at Vice President and Corresponding Secretary.

Looking ahead, we are looking forward to hosting the October Board meeting at Henricks Seed in Halsey and members are preparing to volunteer at the Willamette Valley Ag Show in November. Wishing everyone a wonderful fall!
