The Linn-Benton Women for Agriculture chapter has had a busy and productive start to the year. In January and February, the chapter finalized its 2026–2027 leadership team and approved its annual budget. Kjer Kizer is now serving as our president, and Abby Johnson as vice president. Pam Toews continues in her role as corresponding secretary. Amorita Wirth, treasurer, and Debbie Burns, recording secretary, each have one year remaining in their terms. Members have also been actively planning key events, including the OWA Convention, State FFA Convention, and the annual OWA Auction. Preparations are in full swing for the auction, with members organizing donations, coordinating volunteer support, and assembling a chapter basket featuring a Pendleton blanket and themed items. We are currently accepting scholarship applications through April 15, and members continue to support Ag in the Classroom initiatives, including a successful Literacy Project kickoff and upcoming classroom volunteer opportunities. Plans are also underway for a new collaboration at the Scio Lamb Fair in May, where members will host a hands-on activity for youth. Our chapter is proud to continue its tradition of preparing care packages for members of Oregon State University’s Sigma Alpha chapter which will be delivered at the end of the school year. Linn-Benton is also looking forward to hosting the OWA State Board Meeting in May and is planning a spring social to connect members.
