Happy New Year from Yamhill County!

We have been busy, busy finalizing the details for the 2026 State Convention. It is shaping up to be a very special program, and we hope to see many of you in Forest Grove in March!

In October, we were excited to be able to approve a grant request from Yamhill County 4H for an animal science kit. We know the 4H students will put the kit to good use.

We gathered in November to pack gift packs to raise funds for our chapter projects. We are grateful to continue to be able to showcase Yamill area products in our packs. Our generous donations included dried blueberries from Meduri Farms, walnuts from McKee Family Farms, hazelnuts from George Packing Co., olive oil from Red Ridge Farms, and honey sticks from Oregon Honey Farm. Additionally, Wilco again kindly allowed us to sell our packs at their Newberg and McMinnville locations.

Finally, please join us in recognizing and congratulating our wonderful chapter member, Helle Ruddenklau. Helle was honored by the American Agri-Women (“AAW”) with their 2025 LEAVEN award. AAW describes this award as the highest honor bestowed by AAW, recognizing individuals who have acted as “leaven,” influencing and uplifting those around them to advance agriculture and empower others. We agree that Helle represents these principles in our chapter! Helle was also honored by Oregon AgLink with their 2025 Ag Connection award. Oregon AgLink’s Ag Connection award celebrates a leader whose advocacy bridges generations. We are certainly grateful to Helle for her impact on our agricultural community.
